Fellow talented writers, dear mutuals, wonderful friends, and faithful readers... 2024 is coming to an end, and I thought it's time to take a look back at this year together with all of you - if you like, of course! ☺️

2024 has been a good year, I'd say personally. It wasn't the best, but certainly not bad. I was blessed with finding a lot of new friends on here... @chennqingg @angelwings-crossbowstrings @dixons-sunshine @mayday2007 @huntedmusicgardenn and @erebus-et-eigengrau ! Thank you for letting me invade your blogs, askboxes and DM's! I'm so grateful we became friends! 🙏🏼🧡 Especially @dixons-sunshine ... Gods, I'm such a fangirl of Krys. You have no idea. It's a wonder I didn't scare her off with my endless ramblings, lol. 😆

I also bumped into a lot of amazing, talented people on here this year - new faces and old acquaintances... @thevegandarkelf @loz-3 @buttercupcookies-blog @gigglingtiggerv2 @jiyascepter and so many more! You all have managed to blow my mind not just once, guys. Thank you for that! 🧡

Yeah... I love the bond we all share on here. No matter writer, reader or 'lurker' - we all share the same passion one way or the other, and that's just beautiful, isn't it?

It feels like we have known each other for ages but only got closer throughout this year (and perhaps the end of last year - I unfortunately can't remember entirely. Please forgive me, bestie.) Almost not a day goes by without us texting - and that's awesome. What else happened this year on here? Well... I did a lot of writing - for which I'm very grateful. I'm still having so much fun doing this. I truly hope y'all have just as much fun with reading. I couldn't imagine a life without writing anymore. It's impossible.

My personal writing highlights this year:

• A Covenant for Eternity - a project I absolutely LOVED to write. It's been so cool to do this in cooperation with so many people. Love, love, love!

• Love In The Rearview Mirror - my newest series. I know I just started to post it, but I've been working on this already for quite some time. I love this series with all my heart, and I truly hope it won't disappoint you.

• Echoes of Hope - another great AU that I started. I absolutely fell in love with my OC's Teddy and Marlo. I just can't help but to continue this.

• Hunter & Prey - one of the steamiest things I ever wrote. I love this addition of the Baby Fever AU!

• ...what the future holds... - a spontaneous idea that turned into one of my favourite stories.

Silas likes nutty chocolate, at least that's what he tells you when there are only the nutty ones left in the selection boxes. This darling dosent like nuts much, but it makes him feel all warm inside at the delusional idea that darling left those specifically for him (even if that's not the proper reason)

Kry likes dark chocolate, maybe mint butt deffiantley has a box in the attic of small individuals wrapped ones liquor flavoured along with his first draft of his story. He might never eat them even, but soemtimes he goes and looks at them because they remind him of his parents. He once stole one from a cupboard when his parents wernt looking, only to realise they were horrible and alcohol flavoured and put him off sweets for like a year afterward. It made him believe his parents about lots of things being far to unhealthy for him to even think about eating because if chocolate tasted that bad they must be right!

Hedwig loves strawberry bonbons, realised a long while ago that she ate far too many to be healthy but couldn't come to regret it when you asked how her breath always smelt like strawberrys because you love the smell of strawberrys.

Edmund really likes afternoon teas. He saw his mother have them with other ladies soemtimes When he was little and always made an effort to steal a cake or pastry from them. When he first became king he ate them a lot in private because in weird way it made him feel closer to the mother he never really got to know. He hasn't eaten one since he met darling because he's worried it makes him seem less manly, but I'm sure they both would share one if he asked.

Jerry doesn't like chocolate. Well, she dosent like most chocolate. Then she find you in the kitchen, following some tiktok trend of homemade chocolate and she dies a little inside because she knows she'll have to pretend to enjoy it for your sake. But then she eats it and it tastes how you smell and it has your fingerprints from where you touched it too much during the drying prosess, everything screams you. Now Jerry has you make a new batch of chocolate very week.

are you reading my mind because i literally opened up one of our new year's choclate boxes because i wasn't feeling the best lol. Thank you by the way. There's so much going on at the same time right now and i don't feel like my body can handle it all, but i'm taking one day at a time.

Silas unironically likes liqour chocolate. He's the one that eats them voluntarily. He doesn't like those fruit ones, they're too gooey and tastes horrible.

In sweden, we have a choclate box called "Aladdin" (aka the one i just opened lmao) and in that box, i think he would share my favorite "höstnougat" (autumn nougat) with a taste of coffee. But he would be the type to have 1 with his coffee instead of actually snacking on them. His parents probably had the Aladdin box too, because of how old it is, but it's a calssic so he needs to have it but he wouldn't really like it.

Not to be all Narnia, or anything, but I think my King Edmund would like turkish delight. I don't know why, but it just feels like it fits him? Or hard candy, like those that have been made for years and years and years. Old fashioned boy here.

Jerry doesn't really like chocolate, you're right in that. I don't think she really likes "sweet" at all. I think she's more of a savory girl. But, I think she likes ice cream. And she likes fruity flavours (wonder why)

Hedwig. Oh boy. She loves sweet and she loves strawberry. Everything strawberry flavoured is her absolute favorite. Both natural and artificial. But I also have a weird feeling that she likes artificial banana too. This girl loves lollipops<3

Samuel "Quark" Kry (TV-head), he/him. SHAKING HIM he uhmm I love himb. Anyway. Nobody knows where he comes from — he was found on a beach with his memories wiped out. He managed to start a new life thanks to those who found and took care of him — namely Tango, Lloyd, Deedra and Fahrenheit. Now he's an employee at the local news agency

Lloyd Aero (computer-head), he/ae. Again, he's one of those who helped Sam! Though ae joined the party after a while. Ae's not really good at social interaction, but by joining the Sam-help-group he actually made some friends for the first time! He plays the keyboard, likes spending time in video arcades and is overall a really nice 'puter! However, sometimes ae loses control of aeroself — he's possessed by a virus

Fahrenheit-2000 (scraphead), he/him. Something something ULTRAKILL inspired design something... Ok yeah he's kind of an ULTRAKILL oc, but he doesn't live in that universe so... Not quite. He was a scrapped concept for a non-blood-fueled machine, being powered by electricity instead. The project was too expensive in terms of resources and he was thrown in the trash, literally. This isn't his original look, having rebuilt himself with whatever he found at his disposal. Somehow he ended up in the past, and in an alternative timeline. Good for him, he sucks at battling anyway

Thek-3 Steelblind (unspecified monitor-head), they/he. An antisocial rebellious kind of guy. A little bitch, too. They always mind their own business and want to be left alone talking nonsense about the world and its absurdity. He usually hangs around art-related sites (art schools, museums, galleries, graffitis and so on and so forth) — art's one of their major interests, though they never talk about it with anyone

TASK 004 — RANDOMIZER #1

Happy September, everyone! As we celebrate (nearly) four months of being open here at Blue Harbor, we'd love to introduce something new and exciting: a randomized interaction task! This type of task is one that we'd love to incorporate more consistently moving forward in order to ensure that everyone is making new IC / OOC connections, staying inclusive towards others, and having fun! Unlike previous tasks, THIS TASK IS MANDATORY FOR ALL MEMBERS TO PARTAKE IN, excluding those who have joined or taken up additional characters following the date of September 1st. Don't worry, though, it's relatively simple! Underneath the cut, you will find every character of BH split up into smaller groups of four ( two will be of five ). These groups were mainly chosen by an online randomizer, with minimal admin interference to make sure that everyone was paired with as many different members as possible, most of whom they may not interact with frequently. That being said, considering the sheer quantity of muns and characters, there may be instances of repeats (For example: A, who has four characters, being in two separate groups with B, who also has four characters) — so don't be alarmed if that's the case for you! That just means more opportunity to chat with someone.

By October 1st, we expect all characters within a group to have at least one interaction individually with each other. This gives you all four weeks to plot and work out a connection— be it random or otherwise — with every character assigned to yours, and every mun in your group! These interactions do not need to be complex, nor do they even need to be written threads. Since this is the first time we're implementing this sort of task, we'll happily accept interactions like texts / calls / facetimes for this, so long as you keep in mind that they will not count towards activity. Ideally, these interactions will not be dropped and will surpass just one reply back and forth; we really want everyone to put the most amount of effort possible into this, rather than doing the bare minimum because it's required. PLEASE NOTE: We will be keeping track as best as we possibly can, and anyone who does not start the required interaction within the given time frame (who has also not opened up a conversation with us to discuss) may receive a friendly follow up! Rest assured, if you wind up falling into this category, you won't be in trouble in any way! We simply want to understand how we can make future installments of this task better for you and improve upon it for next time!

That being said, if you feel as though you cannot complete this task for any reason, please reach out to us. This task is supposed to be something fun and mutually beneficial for all, not a chore! Nor should it be stressful in the slightest. So if there is an element to this task that you are unhappy with, so much so that you feel like you cannot complete it, we need to know. We're willing to chat, help and compromise to make sure that everyone is having a good time! You can do so via the main's direct messages or either admin personally on Discord, as the anonymous feature will remain disabled for the foreseeable future.

anyways, for the main reason I am posting today. @sonicries and I are currently struggling financially irl. she is struggling to keep up with bills, groceries and her mortgage. she could potentially lose her home, leaving 6 people and animals without a place to stay. I am struggling with food and bills, and on top of that I have a little one coming in less than 4 months, edging close to 3.

we are trying to earn a little bit of extra cash on the side so we can try and stay afloat, the more we earn the better, especially with everything at risk. this is a cry for help, and if you cannot commission for a layout; a reblog is appreciated just as much. just trying to get this out there to people who can help us.

her and I will both be doing layouts, you can dm either her or myself and we will assist you to the best of your abilities. I am able to do layouts, headers, profile pictures ( transparent or non ), graphics ( picture, video, gif .. ) .. I am pretty much able to do anything, within reason.

I am able to accept payment through PayPal and cashapp. any funds collected will be used for the necessities of life. she is only a able to accept payments through PayPal, but I may be the one the money gets sent to and I will be able to send it to her.

I just reread the witty and uncanny series and realized something. What would happen if their darling got Stockholm syndrome but prefers one yandere over the other? Like they cuddle up with them more, be more obedient around them, follow them around, etc.. Or maybe even worse; throwing a tantrum when the one they like more is not around.

Would the one that’s not getting attention try to kill the other? Punish/convince darling to love them more? Accept it and let the other get their love?

I won’t lie, but in this series I feel like darling would want Kry more. After likely years of dealing with Silas and his punishments, I don’t think they’d grow to love him more than the doctor. Kry didn’t actually physically punish darling in that series which is why I say this (maybe if you count the threatening but i don’t think that counts). Unless something happened off screen? I highly doubt so, though. He only seems to drug darling to keep them submissive and not anything further. We saw how he reacted when Silas said you need to be forceful…

If Kry gets more affection, I really believe Silas would just snap. I don’t think he could push back the thought of his darling (they were originally his so why does he have to share now? -Silas) showing signs of love toward someone else other than him. I’m in between him just killing the doctor (wouldn’t be easy considering you mentioned Kry is pretty strong) or just attacking him. Either way, I don’t think this time he would be able to stay calm. But if somehow darling liked Silas more, (maybe they realize sticking with him isn’t too bad because he’s not forcing drugs in their body) Kry would just try to get the attention on him too. This will likely be by medication that make them more dependent. Or maybe he realizes that’s the reason darling doesn’t seem to like him! Kry doesn’t seem the type to flirt in order to win a heart over, but more of.. I treat you well so why not treat me well back? I don’t know how to explain. Gaslighting them in other words (his speciality!). But unlike Silas, I don’t think he would ever get physical. This man values keeping darling innocent, and them seeing him beat up the mafia man will not do the trick.

Sorry for the rant! I just love your stories so much and they make my ideas pop everywhere. This series was always one of my favorites, and this train of thought has been roaming in my head for a while. I promised myself to keep it one paragraph minimum, but I couldn’t help myself. I apologize about that. Thank you for being such a fantastic writer, though! Your writing blows me away and I get soooo happy when I see you updated your blog. It’s like I get my fork and knife to devour what information you give us this time lol..

I have to start of by saying that I love these types of messages. Having people dissect my writing makes me happy, because it means that you took your time to take it in and analyze it! I agree, i don't know how to top this series ... Golden Trial is a second, but the witty and uncanny is on another level and I don't know if i will be able to reach it for a long time. I think that they would kill each other. Dr Kry would probably do it because of the constant threat Silas poses to darling. He knows that Silas will do them harm and to make sure that will never happen, he would kill him. It would be quick and silent, opposed to Silas who would make the doctor suffer.

Darling would probably hate them equally much, because Silas might have caused them more physical pain, but Dr Kry is actively hurting them with the drugs. I don't think there is a "better" person here. Both are awful.

🎈describe your style as a writer; is it fixed? does it change?

It changed a little over time! at the beginning i was experimenting with POVs and tenses, wanted to write things with more imagery and to spend time making them sound beautiful, but as soon as i started writing more crack/humor fics where i had to break that style i realized i've been limiting myself a lot. then i tried crafting an universal go-to style that can just flow right under my fingers while im concentrated about the idea in my mind - it's too frustrating to think about HOW you're writing something when you care more about WHAT you're writing. @aquagirl1978 described me as a chameleon in writing and i loved it a lot!! i like the idea of being free to change your style depending on what you're doing :)) im trying to teach myself to be like that in drawing too, having one go-to style and experimenting a little every now and then when it fits the theme of what im doing

💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language

the characters 😭 im easy to please as long as it has my favorite character. i NEVER judge anyone for their grammar, heck i don't care even if you don't start your sentences with uppercase letter... if its something that goes in the way of you sharing that fic with the world (you're not sure about the grammar so you spend time double checking it and get burned out, you're having too little free time to write, proofreading drains you) i want you to know that it's okay not to be perfect and that your idea can reach the people without stressing over all the little details ❤ though of course when you put the extra effort it can be a great way to learn, especially when it comes to grammar! but no burning out!

after the characters the most important for me is the plot! i love a plot that is seemingly another ordinary part from the daily life of the characters but then i discover something unique about it!

🪄what is your post-writing/sharing aftercare? How do you take care of yourself or celebrate yourself when you've finished a fic?

a couple of compliments for myself in my head to secure them in case noone else says something good HAHAH then getting all cozy in bed and rewarding myself with a good night's sleep because i tend to write very late at night 💔💔 zzz
